As a choral conductor, Andrew is passionate about strengthening opportunities for choral singing throughout Scotland. Whilst at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he studied conducting with Alasdair Mitchell and Michael Bawtree and has worked with James MacMillan, Ilan Volkof, Christopher Bell and the National Youth Choir of Scotland.
Currently, Andrew is the Musical Director of Ayr Choral Union, Director of NYCoS Renfrewshire area choir and Chorus Master of the Cumncok Tryst Festival Chorus. Past roles include Co-Director of Caledonian Voices, Musical Director of Greenock Philharmonic and Troon Chorus and Conductor of the Junior Corps of the National Youth Choir of Scotland’s Boys Choir. He is a SING! programme leader for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and also a vocal lead and assistant conductor of the National Boys Choir.
